My husband and I have decided our date night is going to be two times a week going to the gym...on Tuesday and Thursdays. Each week the girls will spend dinner with one of their grandparents....we are so excited to get back to the gym...matt needs to gain some weight, and obviously I need to loose some! We are meeting friends there so it should be a good time for us. We were getting sick of using our free time go to out to dinner where I would just end up feel guilty for eating! I am excited about going to the gym, and I am blessed that I get to stay home with my girls because before when I was working full time there was no way I was going to go to the gym after being away from them all day.
I find myself feeling very thankful throughout the day about how life is going right now.....that is a good feeling :)

A Weekend Away!
This weekend we packed our bags and headed to Bangor Saturday morning. We left at the girls' naptime so they slept a bit of the way down...our first stop was the UMaine basketball game. I have to say it was kind of neat to go back to where I graduated from college. We had a skybox that was filled with soda, juice, beer and snacks. Olivia was very into the game and Abbie had a great time running around. We checked into the hotel after the game which was right by the ariport. Olivia saw planes taking off for the first time, and now she is super excited to go go Disney in four or five years. (we can't decide when we should take them!) She wanted to get on the plane right away to go to see Cinderella and her Prince!
Next was dinner at Texas Roadhouse then back to the hotel to sleep. It was a lot of fun watching the girls play around on the king sized bed together...they were hugging, kissing then at the end kicking each other before bed!
We got up this morning, went to the buffet at Governor's then got back on the road...it was the first time I went to Bangor and had fun without shopping!!!! I am very proud of myself! I did hear from a friend that Marden's in Presque Isle was having a major sale on Robeez so I had to go when we got home and unloaded our stuff. I ended up leaving there with 10 pairs of shoes for Abbie all in different sizes for the next couple of years....I was very excited about that find!!!!!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend...just think, there's another one at the end of this week too!

A Wonderful Weekend...
I love weekends......usually people love weekends so they can sleep in, but the girls and I sleep in later during the week than we do on the weekends. Daddy wakes up at about 6:00 on weekend mornings and makes noise until his girls wake up. He loves to think he loves time to himself, but I know better because he paces back and forth in the hall until he wakes one of us up....I love to think I don't love it, but I do...I think it's cute!
Friday night started out with having Joe and Sarah King over for supper and talk about our house plans. Joe is going to be building our house this spring and we are so excited. We finally decided on the plan we LOVE and we are going to get bank stuff started this week. As soon as the ground is ready our house will start being built and we should be in by the fall. This makes me so excited to have harvest break in a brand new house, Christmas, Thanksgiving, the girls birthdays and everything in a brand new house. How blessed we are to have me be able to work very very part time and build a house in the same year. My husband is a hard worker and I am so thankful he is so motivated and in love with his girls.
Saturday we hung around the house for the morning then went to dad and Liv's favorite store, Lowe's, before meeting some friends for supper at the Crowe's Nest. We love it there because there is a great playroom for the kids to play in while we eat.....but it takes Olivia about an hour to want to play in there without me! She has been in rare form the past few days....I can type about it with a smile right now because she is sound asleep while Matt and I and Abbie are watching the Giants game....she was in 4 time outs today...I hope she gets back to being my sweet little girl soon!
Sunday started with coffee, relaxing and watching the girls play...then Liv and I decided we should start on our Valentine's Day crafts. We made hearts out of construction paper and then cut out and glued little hearts on them. She was so excited and now she can't wait for Valentine's Day to give them to everyone!
After Abbie's nap we went to gram and gramp's to show them our house plans and visit for a bit. Then we headed over to Grampa Dave and Nama Charlotte's for the Patriot's game and snacks. We were supposed to head over to Joe and Sarah's to visit and check out their new house, but Olivia decided it was a 6:30 bedtime kind of night! She is sound asleep, Abbie is about to go in her crib for the night, so I'm going to go grab a beer and cuddle my hot husband.....
Have a great week!

First Day as a SAHM!
For the first time in a long time I actually feel content. For the past two and a half years, I have struggled with whether or not I should be working. I finally feel free from that stress because Matt and I are finally on the same page that at home with my two girls is where I should be. I feel peace for the first time in a long time.
Today Liv and I cuddled in bed until 7:30, I got up and took a shower and got ready while she was still asleep....when she got up she came in the bathroom and watched my blowdry my hair. Then we had some breakfast together while Abbie slept until 9:30! That is what I love most....that my girls can sleep in in the morning. It was so hard getting them out of bed every morning. After Abbie got up, we headed to Walmart for groceries, stopped to visit daddy at work, came home for lunch and now it's playtime until naps.
Tomorrow we go to the library for story time....Olivia is already asking me to go right now. Good thing Jake has a ball game tonight so she will be distracted for a while!
